Safe Flight’s AutoPower® Available for the Bombardier Challenger CL850 Aircraft
White Plains, NY (Wednesday May 9, 2012) — Safe Flight Instrument Corporation of White Plains, New York announces that AutoPower®, Safe Flight’s Automatic Throttle System is available on the Bombardier CL850* aircraft as a production option on the Bombardier assembly line as Service Bulletin D45150-SB-1.
The AutoPower® System provides continuous thrust management during takeoff, climb, cruise, descent, approach, landing phases of flight and go-around. Fully integrated with existing avionics displays and controls, AutoPower® features precision smooth speed and power control modes. AutoPower® components include a dedicated computer, two mode status display monitors and a modified throttle quadrant that includes the drive units and engage and disengage switches. All this capability will result in a seamless upgrade reduced pilot workload and smoother flight operations. In addition, an engine synchronization system feature can further improve the quiet cabin experience of the Challenger 850 aircraft.
