Safe Flight SCc Angle of Attack System Certified

Oshkosh, WI (July 20, 2015) – Safe Flight Instrument Corporation, based in White Plains, NY, announced the SCc – a leading edge Angle of Attack (AoA) based system has been certified by the FAA and is currently available for certificated aircraft in the general aviation market.

“With the introduction of the SCc, Safe Flight continues to build upon our rich history of offering unparalleled leading edge Angle of Attack technology with an intuitive pilot visual display and audio alert.  Whether using the system in everyday circumstances or as a training aid in a flight school, the SCc delivers both safety and performance,” according to Paul Quaintance the company’s Vice President of Sales & Marketing.

In addition to Low Airspeed Awareness, the SCc provides the pilot with AoA-based guidance for a variety of high-lift operational conditions such as: normal and short-field takeoff, climb, wind-adjusted AoA cruise speed for maximum range and maximum endurance.

The SCc Lift Transducer precisely measures the wing’s leading edge stagnation point and flow field.  This makes the AoA a precise measurement regardless of aircraft weight, wing loading, or center of gravity.  The Indexer Computer uses an LED-lit display, making it easy to read in all lighting conditions and features a pilot settable Reference Marker for setting AoA targets for flight.

The SCc is available for purchase via authorized dealers including Gulf Coast Avionics, Pacific Coast Avionics, and Aircraft Spruce with a MSRP of $1,895.  The SCc Leading Edge AoA system includes the Lift Transducer and Indexer Computer, along with all necessary wiring, connectors and installation hardware.  For additional information on the SCc, visit www.safeflight.com and follow Facebook and Twitter for new updates.
