Safe Flight AutoPower® Selected by Nextant for 400XTi

White Plains, NY (May 22, 2013) – Safe Flight Instrument Corporation’s AutoPower® automatic throttle system has been selected by Nextant for the 400XTi program.  The system was selected for performance and quality based on Safe Flight’s experience in developing full regime automatic throttle systems that can be installed on a production line or retrofitted into existing aircraft.  Safe Flight produces the only automatic throttle system that is retrofittable.

The Safe Flight AutoPower® System for the Nextant 400XTi builds on the success of over 9,000 Automatic Throttle Systems (ATS) the company has delivered since 1958 – more than any other company. The full authority ATS will be STC’d and will capture the demonstrated performance of several recent AutoPower® System certifications, each of which have met or exceeded the Technical, Schedule and Commercial Requirements for each proposed program.

The Nextant 400XTi AutoPower® System will be a first in class full regime Automatic Throttle System and will provide IAS/Mach speed control from takeoff to landing phases of flight. The system provides increased safety by decreasing pilot workload allowing greater Situational Awareness.  Stabilized speed target allows more consistent approaches.  AutoPower® increases range with studies showing a fuel saving average of 3%.
