Safe Flight’s AutoPower® now available for installation on the Citation 750 at all Cessna Citation Service Centers

White Plains, NY – (July 10, 2013) Safe Flight Instrument Corporation is pleased to announce that the Cessna Service Center in Wichita, Kansas has received a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Supplemental Type Certification (STC) for Safe Flight’s AutoPower® (Automatic Throttle System) on the Citation X. The system is now available for retrofit on any Citation X at all Cessna Citation Service Centers.

The Citation X AutoPower® System’s advanced technology is tailored and manufactured specifically for Cessna by Safe Flight.  AutoPower® is fully compatible with the existing Citation X avionics suite. The system improves safety with accurate airspeed control and target engine thrust settings, and provides smooth thrust lever control to manage IAS/Mach or power during climb, cruise, descent, approach and landing phases of flight. The AutoPower® system features automatic coupling to the FMS VNAV speeds. AutoPower® delivers greater passenger comfort, improved situational awareness, and reduced crew workload.  It also offers Angle of Attack (AoA) referenced minimum speed protection and stabilized ILS and circle-to-land approaches and landing phases of flight. AutoPower® for the Citation X provides potential fuel savings for extended range.  AutoPower® for the Citation X includes an automatic throttle retard feature and automatic reversion to airspeed control in conjunction with the autopilot emergency descent mode. Exceptionally smooth during all flight conditions, the Citation X AutoPower® system’s operation has been refined over 55 years with unprecedented reliability on more than 9,000 corporate, commercial, and military aircraft.
